The Foundation Thanks Outgoing Board Members, Welcomes Two New Appointees
The Clinton County Community Foundation board of directors recently recognized two outgoing board members for their years of service.
Stuart Hall, Esq., served on the board as an appointee of the Clinton County Bar Association. His term expired on Dec. 31, 2024.
Elizabeth Arnold served as an appointee of the president of Commonwealth University Lock Haven. Under Foundation bylaws, directors may serve up to two consecutive, four-year terms, or until a successor is appointed.
Both Hall and Arnold essentially did that, though Arnold left slightly early upon leaving the university to pursue new opportunities.
Replacing Arnold is Kenneth (Kenny) Hall, an appointee of Commonwealth University President Dr. Bashar Hanna.
Kenny was born in Daytona Beach, Fla., and lived there until the age of 18. After graduating high school, he moved to Lock Haven, where he attended Lock Haven University (LHU). Kenny graduated in 1994 with degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. That same year he also began working in LHU’s Admissions Office as an Assistant Director of Admissions. He served in that position for eight years before he transitioned to the position of Director of the Office of Human and Cultural Diversity. Kenny then became the Director of the Center for Excellence and Inclusion in August of 2013.
In June 2020, Kenny became the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at LHU.
Most recently, in August 2024, he took on the role of interim Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Officer for Commonwealth University.
Hall, a partner in Hall and Lindsay Law Offices in Lock Haven, is replaced by Johanna Berta, Esq.
Johanna is a member of the Clinton County Bar Association, with a legal practice in Clinton County. She lives in Clinton County with her family, having relocated from California in 2018.
The Foundation Board of Directors, meanwhile, will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 22, to review and act on a record number of grant applications. Awards are to be announced Jan. 23 but that is subject to change.
