And so it is! Education uplifts and empowers, especially the children and youth of our great nation.
That's why the Clinton County Community Foundation is pleased - on behalf of these exceptional benefactors - to offer these scholarship opportunities to high school students in the Keystone Central School District's Central Mountain and Bucktail Area High Schools. Each year, guidance counselors accept applications from students for these important scholarships:
- Jean H. Blesh Memorial Music Scholarship Award to "a student embarking on further education for a career in music."
- John P. & Mary Lou Brandt Academic Achievement Award to "a female student with the highest GPA and enrollment in a college or university" as selected by a KCSD committee.
- John P. & Mary Lou Brand Academic Achievement Award to "a male student with the highest GPA and enrollment in a college or university" as selected by a KCSD committee.
- Fromm Family Scholarship Award to a deserving student studying Biology.
- From Family Scholarship Award to a deserving student studying English.
- John E. Jusick Jr. Memorial Scholarship Award to a "deserving graduating high school senior."
- Richard Ramm Scholarship Award to "a graduating high school senior who is a resident of Clinton County, is enrolled in an accredited university, college, trade or technical school and intending to major in a subject involving agriculture." (Awarded by a committee of the Clinton County Conservation District.)
- Samuel and Ellen Williams Memorial Scholarships awarded to "deserving graduates of Bucktail Area High School based on need and academic ability, with preference toward students interested in music education."
- Piper Family Scholarships are awarded to two (2) students graduating from a public high school in Clinton County "based on need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community involvement." Recipients are eligible for annual renewal of the scholarship for their sophomore, junior and senior years of study so long as proof of continued advancement and good standing is shown.
- Franklin L. and Donna R. Walker Memorial Scholarship awarded to two graduating high school seniors "based on demonstrated financial need, who are residents of Clinton County and who are enrolled at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania-Lock Haven University with a major in Business/Accounting or Physical Education."
- Charles E. Dahr Memorial Scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from the Bucktail Area High School "based on demonstrated financial need, who are residents of Clinton County and who are enrolled at an accredited college, university or trade school to pursue a degree, certificate or designation. The Scholarship Recipient selection shall be made by the Renovo Area Public Library Board of Directors."
Scholarship Applications will be (traditionally) available as of or after March 1, 2025.
